Holiday wishes
We are pleased that Mr. Irl Engelhardt of Peabody Energy is serving as chairman of the campaign and we look forward to working with him. This year’s Tree of Lights campaign is critical for the continued operation of year-round Army programs that change the lives of St. Louisans on a daily basis.
Throughout this Web site, you can learn about many of the ways your generous donations are helping to fund important services, such as Army after-school programs that are meeting the needs of working parents throughout the St. Louis area by providing children with a safe after-school environment.
As we look to a busy Christmas season, remember what the season is all about. “For God so loved the world, that he gave us his only begotten Son…” (John 3:16) God’s gift to us this Christmas and all year long is his love.
Major Robert E. Thomson is Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army Midland Division
